William F Clark Jr.

William F. Clark, Jr., 66, of Callawassie Island, S.C. died at his home on June 7th after a yearlong battle with cancer.Bill was born in Elizabeth, N.J. but grew up in Elon, N.C. He was the son of the late William F. Clark, Sr. and Rose Fischer Clark. Bill was a graduate of Elon College. After college he taught and coached high school in South Carolina. Bill spent nineteen years with Philips Consumer Electronics in Knoxville, TN and Atlanta, GA. He was a vice-president of Sales. In 2005 Bill joined Almo Corporation of Philadelphia, PA as Vice-President of Sales. Bill was the ultimate people person who thoroughly enjoyed working with his sales force.Bill is survived by his wife Gail of Callawassie, his step-son John Carroll of Charlotte, NC, his sister, Kathleen Clark of Greensboro, NC and many cousins, nieces and nephews.Bill was an avid golfer and a lover of nature. Even as he struggled with illness he completed a master naturalist course with his wife Gail. One of his greatest joys was enjoying the sunsets from his back porch, which overlooks the golf course and marsh.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge at 269 Calhoun St., Charleston, SC 29401, Hospice of the Low Country, P.O. Box 3827, Bluffton, SC, 29910, or Friends of Callawassie at 22 Callawassie Club Drive, Okatie, SC 29909. Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 11 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton, SC 29910.
