William Charles Colmar

William C. Colmar, 84, of Bluffton, SC passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at his home.He was born in Lawrence, Long Island, NY on December 23, 1925. He was the son of the late Thomas and Frances Williams Colmar.He was a retired engineer for Nausau County in Mineola, NY. He was a volunteer fireman for over 50 years with Lawrence-Cedarhurst Fire Department. He was a US Marine Corps veteran of World War II who served in the Pacific. He was a Methodist. He enjoyed stamp collecting.He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Emily R. Colmar of Bluffton, SC; one son, Thomas Colmar of Long Island, NY; three daughters, Barbara (Kevin) McDermott of North Brunswick, NJ, Deborah (Tony) Addona of Bluffton, SC and Diane (Michael) Mastorrides of Jupiter, FL; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, February 23, 2010 in the Sauls Funeral Home Chapel, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton, SC.The family requests memorial donations be made to Tidewater Hospice, 181 Bluffton Road, Suite B102, Bluffton, SC 29910.Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton, SC is assisting the family with their arrangements.
