William Edward Smith

William Edward Smith, age 63, of Bluffton, SC died Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Hilton Head Hospital. Mr. Smith was born on June 13, 1952 in Queens, NY, the son of the late William F. Smith and Mary A. Connors. He was United States Army veteran. He worked for many years with Con-Edison Utility and later moved to Massachusetts where he worked as a Foreman for the City of Wellesley, MA. Upon retirement, he became a catering chef for Panache Catering in Jacksonville, NC. He was a Catholic and was an avid deep sea fisherman and loved to make family and friends happy by cooking their favorite dishes. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Marasa. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Smith; brothers, John Smith (Victoria) and Thomas Smith, all of Long Island, NY; sisters, MaryAnn Hoshino (Richard) of Bluffton, SC and Long Island, NY, Patricia Medici (John) of Longwood, FL, Kathleen Kirwin of Texas, Lorraine Sheehan (Robert), Dorothy Smith, and Carol Bordiga (Jeffrey), all of Long Island, NY.
