William Ernest Hendy

William Ernest Hendy, 74, of Bluffton, SC died July 29, 2014 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital. He was born on March 13, 1940 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada the son of the late Reginald and Hazel Meyer Hendy. He was a graduate of Ottawa University where he earned his Bachelors and Graduate degrees and played Quarterback for the Ottawa University Football Team as an undergrad. He was a financial analyst for the Canadian Federal Government. He enjoyed playing golf, traveling to Mexico, reading, was an avid Hockey fan, and loved spending time with family. He is survived by his wife, Mary M. Hendy of Bluffton, SC and his son, Sean P. Hendy of Ottawa, Canada. He was predeceased by his wife Jill P. Roper Hendy in 1988. A Celebration of Life will be held at 7 PM, Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton. The family will receive friends from 6pm until the hour of the service.
