William Lee

William Lee, aged 79, of Bluffton, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 13, 2024. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, William's passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of those who knew him.

Born in Florida, William's early years were filled with the warmth and vibrancy of the Sunshine

State. He later settled in Connecticut, where he built a family and laid the foundation for a

lifetime of cherished memories. For the past 15 years, William called Bluffton, South Carolina,

home, where he enjoyed the serenity of his surroundings and continued to share his passions

with those he loved.

William was a man of many passions. His love for golf was matched only by his enthusiasm for

Mustangs and his deep appreciation for music, particularly the romantic ballads of Julio Iglesias.

These interests were not just hobbies but integral parts of the joy he shared with family and

friends.

He is survived by his loving partner of 19 years, Patricia Damato, whose companionship

enriched his life profoundly. William is also survived by his children, Matthew Lee and his wife

Ann, and Whitney Ives and her husband Larry. His legacy continues through his cherished

grandchildren, Samantha, Alexandra, Billy, Allyssa, and Nick, each of whom brought immense

pride and joy to his life.

William is also survived by his twin brother, Wesley Lee, and his younger brother, David Lee,

and his wife Linda. The bond between the Lee brothers was a source of strength and

camaraderie that enriched their lives.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Phyllis, who passed away in 2003, and his

mother Janet Lee, who died in 2021.

William’s warmth, humor, and generosity of spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the

pleasure of knowing him. His memory will be celebrated in the hearts of his family and friends,

and he will be remembered for the joy he brought into their lives through his passions and love.

William Lee’s spirit will live on in the hearts of his loved ones, and his legacy will continue

through the cherished memories he has left behind.

A celebration of William's life will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at

Riverbend Lodge in Sun City. Friends and family are invited to join in honoring his memory and

reflecting on the joy he brought into their lives.
