William J. Rowell, Sr.Ridgeland, SCWilliam Joseph Rowell, Sr., 84, died Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at his home in Ridgeland, SC.He was born in Ridgeland, SC on September 4, 1924 to the late Charles E. Rowell and Ida Frances Beach Rowell. He was a carpenter employed by D. P. Lowther Construction for many years; he was a member of Great Swamp Baptist Church in Ridgeland SC and he enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his wife, Hazel Nettles Rowell of Ridgeland, SC; one son, Billy (Donna) Rowell of Ridgeland, SC; three daughters, Miriam Haymans, Judy (Darnell) Wilson and Alice Rowell, all of Ridgeland, SC; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 29, 2008 at Great Swamp Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.Sauls Funeral Home of Ridgeland, SC is assisting the family with their arrangements.
