William "Bill" Sarver

William “Bill” Sarver of Bluffton, SC, and formerly of Rossford, OH died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018, at home.

The beloved Mr. Sarver, who was 66, worked in medical sales for more than a quarter century and was an avid tennis player and golf enthusiast, and a loving husband, father and friend to all.

Mr. Sarver was born on April 11, 1952 in Toledo, OH, the son of the late Arthur and Rita Sarver. He was a 1974 graduate of Bowling Green State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in science and was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Following graduation, Mr. Sarver began his career in sales with LAUDA-Brinkmann, LP. Bill retired after many years of service as a Sales Manager for the company’s southeast territory. While living in Bluffton he was active in, and enjoyed, the Hilton Head-Sun City community.

Bill always had a positive attitude and a lasting smile on his face. He was a comedian, and his special laugh was contagious. For decades he was a very loyal THE Ohio State University Buckeye football fan. He loved music and movies and hanging out with his buddies and attending parties and gatherings at Sun City.

Mr. Sarver was preceded in death by his loving wife of 21 years, Tonya “Toni’’ Paige Sarver. He is survived by his son, Alexander Sarver and significant other Erin Wyman; sister, Carol Lind  and her husband Terry and sons Shawn and Bryan Lind; brother, Jeffrey Sarver; brother-in-law, Woodrow “Woody’’ Paige and his daughter Shannon Hunt Paige, and a multitude of friends.

Bill was an incredible care-giver to Toni, who suffered with breast cancer for many years. He said her illness was the worst thing they ever had to go through. They loved to travel all over the world to Hawaii, Europe, Asia, Mexico, especially to the U.S. tennis Open and Wimbledon.

Bill wanted everyone to know how much he loved them.

Alex Sarver said: “”My dad was my hero, my role model and, most important, my father. I forever will miss him, and love my dad and my mom.’’

A memorial service will be held at 11a.m., Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC 29910. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A reception celebration of Bill’s life will follow at Sun City.
