She was born in Hampton, SC on January 7, 1942 to the late Ira B. Cook and Julia Mock Cook.She was a waitress employed by Huddle House Restaurants in Ridgeland and Hardeeville, SC and Dixie Boy Truck Stop in Coosawhatchie, SC. She was a member of Gillisonville Baptist Church.She is survived by her special friend, Tom Graves of Ridgeland, SC; three sons, William Stevenson Quick, III of Texas; Norman W. and Cynthia Quick of Waldorf, MD; Charles L. and Ruby Quick of Gillisonville, SC; two daughters, Marie Simmons and Alma Jean Quick of Hardeeville, SC; one brother, Ira B. and Mary Lou Cook, Jr. of Clover, SC; sister Virginia Williams of SC and eleven grandchildren.A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6 til 8 pm, Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams St., Ridgeland, SC.
