Wilton Ellis Altman

Wilton Ellis Altman, 78 of Ridgeland, SC passed away on December 10, 2016 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital, Beaufort, SC. Wilton was born in Ridgeland, SC on November 21, 1938 to the late Ellis Altman and Robbie Lee Roberts Altman.

Wilton was formerly employed by the SC Department of Transportation and retired carpenter for Pinckney Brothers Construction Company. He was a member of Great Swamp Baptist Church and the South Carolina National Guard. He enjoyed fresh water fishing, gardening and playing the piano.

Wilton is predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Ruth Altman who passed away in 2014. Wilton is survived by his sons, Troy Ellis Altman (Patricia) and Ben W. Altman (Lise) all of Ridgeland; his brother, Everett Altman (Shirley) of Charleston, SC; his sister, Barbara Malphrus of Ridgeland, SC; his grandchildren, Brian Lawrence Altman and Courtney Jean Kendricks (Joe) and his great grandchild, Ella Grace Kendricks.

The family will receive friends beginning at 10:30 am until the hour of the service at 11:30 am on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Sauls Funeral Home Chapel, 310 W. Adams St., Ridgeland.
