Wright Demetree Minis

Brother Wright Demetree Minis, 23, the son of Sister Valerie Cecilia Minis and Brother Wright Phoenix, was born on July 8, 1985 in Beaufort, South Carolina. He was a loving son.Wright was educated in Jasper County School System. He was a member of St. Luke Baptist Church where he served as a volunteer wherever he was needed. Wright touched the lives of many who knew him. He will be sadly missed by everyone who came in contact with him.On Saturday morning, September 20, 2008 at 7:30 a.m. in the Rehabilitation Center in Pooler, Georgia, God saw fit to call Brother Demetree to rest.He leaves to cherish his memories; three sisters, Renetta Minis, Tameka Minis, and Chernise White, all of Ridgeland, SC., a grandmother, whom was his life, Dollie Minis of Ridgeland, SC and Geneva Phoenix whom preceeded him in death; "special" aunts, Elizabeth and Inett Cannick, Bernice Young, Annette Nelson, Shirley Ann Nelson, all of Ridgeland, SC; one aunt, Felicia Minis of New York, NY, two uncles, Larry Kenneth Jenkins of New York, NY and Thomas (Lena) Jenkins of Bluffton, SC; special Angels that he cherished were three nieces, Aaliyah Minis, De'Sire and Ma'Kenzie Gwathney, all of Ridgeland, SC, two nephews, Damon Gwathney, Jr. and Zy White of Ridgeland, SC, and a host of cousins and very close friends. Special thanks to the Center of Digestive and Liver Health, Dr. Christopher H. Rittmeyer, MPLT, Pediatric Gastroesterology, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics for making it possible for Wright to receive his liver in 2003. Buddy was his name that was given by the clinic.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, September 26, 2008 at St. Luke Baptist Church in Ridgeland, SC. A visitation will be held from 4 til 8 pm on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams Street, Ridgeland, SC.Sauls Funeral Home of Ridgeland is assisting the family with their arrangements.
