Yrma (Mimi) De Cardenas-Leo

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Yrma (Mimi) De Cardenas Leo, 73, who passed away in Charleston, SC on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. 

Born in Cuba on October 23, 1952, Mimi attended Barry University in Dade County, FL, before moving to New Jersey. She dedicated many years of service to Trinitas Hospital in Elizabeth, NJ. She was married to the love of her life, Matthew Leo, and they resided in New Jersey for many years before relocating to Bluffton, SC in 2020. 

Mimi was preceded in death by her parents, Clara and Mario De Cardenas, her sister, Ligia Sanchez, and her beloved husband, Matt.
