Abel Rodriguez Hernandez

Abel Rodriguez Hernandez, 46, of Ridgeland, SC passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021. Abel was born on December 23, 1974 in Mexico to the late Jose Rodriguez Heredia and Ma Del Carmen Hernandez Barrientos.

Abel was a foreman for a pipeline construction company and was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Grays, SC. He enjoyed his chickens, music, watching soccer games, and most of all, spending time with family.

He is survived by his longtime companion, Rachel Carroll and her children Zach C. and Skyelar H., a son, James Davis, four daughters, Maria Guadalupe Solis Rios, Selena Maria Davis, Amber Suhadi Rodriguez-Davis, Abby Rodriguez, four brothers, Jose  Luis Rodriguez-Hernandez, Antonio Rodriguez-Hernandez, Edgar Rodriguez-Hernandez, Miguel Angel Rodriguez-Hernandez, four sisters, Yolanda Rodriguez-Hernandez, Rosa Diana Rodriguez-Hernandez, Maria Magdalena Rodriguez-Hernandez, Leticia Rodriguez-Hernandez, and two grandchildren, Meredyth Reyes Solis, Neymar Reyes Solis. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Aiden C. Cummings. 

Abel had two favorite quotes that read: “Be strong, make it happen!” and “Don’t worry, be happy.”

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Sauls Funeral Home in Ridgeland. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Church of God of Prophecy in Grays, SC with a burial to follow in the Davis Family Cemetery.
