Barbara Hollander Abrams, age 76, wife of Ellis Abrams of Bluffton, SC, passed peacefully on Monday September 28 at her home in Sun City. Barbara is also survived by brother Jody Hollander of Kuna, ID, son Sidney Abrams of Gaithersburg, MD and daughter Hannah Morris of Brookhaven, GA. Barbara blessed the world with 4 grandchildren, Noah and Andrew Abrams and Maxwell and Major Morris.
Professionally, Barbara was a computer programmer and legal secretary. Barbara was a loyal and deeply involved member of multiple Jewish communities including B’nai Shalom of Olney, MD, Temple Torah of Boynton Beach, FL, Oseh Shalom of Bluffton, SC and Agudath Achim of Savannah, GA. Barbara was guided throughout life by her devotion to Judaism and lived faithfully every day of her life. It is only fitting that an amazing wife, sister, mother and grandmother passed away on Yom Kippur – the day reserved for the most righteous of our people.
Barbara will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Beaufort National Cemetery at 11:00am on Thursday, October 1, 2020.
