Barb was a loving mother who enjoyed nature (Bird Watching & Audubon), animals, painting and instilling in her children the sense of right and decency. Sometimes to properly instill that sense of right it was necessary to apply a smack of the wooden spoon. Those fasthand eye skills also came in handy with her proficiency in Braille, Shorthand and Typing. She loved spending time with friends to either play Bridge or discuss her recipe for her famous Sour Cream Meatballs. She lived her life first in Connecticut, then the Detroit MI area, followed by the Chicago IL area and finally Hilton Head Island, SC where she had lived since 1980. It was in Hilton Head to where she found her peace and place. She loved her work as Administrative Assistant at South Island Public Service District on Hilton Head where she worked for 25+ years until her retirement. She was active in her faith and church as a long-standing Episcopalian, since moving to Hilton Head a member of All Saints Episcopal Church. It is here that some of her ashes will be laid.
