Barbara Jane (Coston) Partridge

Barbara Coston Partridge, 85 of Sun City died Wednesday, August 3rd, 2022 at her home surrounded by her children, Bradford K Partridge, Linda P. Bird, Cynthia P. Sticker and Amy T. Gray and granddaughter Sara Sticker. 

She was born February 13, 1937 to her late parents, Verona Trubshaw and Samuel Smith Coston II in Camden, NJ and later raised in Haddonfield, NJ. She attend Haddonfield Schools, and later Linden Hall School for Girls in Lititz, PA. It was while attending Linden Hall that she met Ronald K. Partridge, which started a love affair that lasted almost 50 years. Ron preceded Barbara in death 16 years ago.

After they were married, Barbara and Ron moved up and down the East Coast due to his career with Scott Paper Company, with stops in Mobile, AL, Philadelphia, PA, Boston, MA and Portland, ME making lifelong friends in each location. She also loved spending her summers in Ocean City, NJ at her parents beachhouse. Those summers started when she was a child, and continued well into adulthood. 

Upon retiring, Barbara and Ron moved to South Carolina, and settled on Callawassie Island where they continued their passions for golf, tennis and time with family and friends. After Ron’s passing, Barbara moved to Sun City in Bluffton, making new friends along the way. 

Barbara was an amazing mother to her four children, giving her whole self to them, and later became a fun-loving grandmother (affectionally known as Bobbie) to her ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  

Barbara was a classy and kind woman who will be greatly missed here, but was surely celebrated upon her arrival in Heaven.
