Barbara "Bobbie" Langford Mears

Barbara “Bobbie” Langford Mears of Midway, GA passed away Friday, May 19, 2023, at Memorial Health Medical Center. She was born February 11, 1939, in Ridgeland, SC to the late Leon and Billie (Smith) Langford. She is preceded in death by her husband Richard R. Mears. Bobbie attended Columbia Women’s College after graduation from Ridgeland High School. She enjoyed gardening, crabbing, fishing, and especially being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all their friends. Bobbie was a very loving and caring person who dedicated her life to making her family and friends feel loved and supported.

She is survived by brothers Leon (Kathy) Langford, Jr, and James Hamilton “Hammie” (Jane) Langford; her children Christina “Christy” (Jerry) Bargeron of Ellabell, GA, and Richard “Ricky” Mears Jr. of Greenville, SC; her nine grandchildren April (Brian) Loftus, Eddie (Jennifer) Bargeron, Jared (Sara) Bargeron, Ryan (Amy) Bargeron, Kalie (Travis) Young, Joseph (Ashlyn) Garnto, Brittany “Nikki” (Darrell) Coy, Kristinia (Kyle) Shannon, and Brianna (Tyler) Fisher; her sixteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 23, 2023, from 6 to 8 pm. Funeral Services will be held at 11 am Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at Sauls Funeral Home Chapel, 310 W. Adams Avenue, Ridgeland, SC with burial in Floyd Cemetery, Tillman, SC. Memorial donations may be made to the Floyd Cemetery Fund, PO Box 69, Tillman, SC 29943.
