Carolyn Ann Beattie ( AKA Carolyn Michels AKA Carolyn A. Walston) of 3 Oxen Lane, Bluffton, SC passed away on Sunday June 7, 2020 at St Joseph Candler Hospital Savannah of pneumonia.
Born in Salt Lake City, UT on Christmas day, 1944 to Margaret Michels-Mettler and John Michels those who knew this amazing long term resident of Bluffton will not soon forget her. She spent most of her working career as a teacher and tutor deeply touching her student’s lives. Many former students kept in touch with her far into their adult years. One of her college degrees was in Fine Arts and if you were ever lucky enough to see her amazing art work you were blessed, as she was truly gifted artistically and creatively. Many close friends had the benefit of her amazing floral skills at their weddings. She loved cooking, reading and traveling and leaves behind dear friends all over the world from Hawaii to Venezuela.
She leaves behind her only son John Beattie and his wife Amanda and their two children Silas and River.
Carolyn will be cremated at her bequest and due to the current status of Covid there will be no services or memorial at this time. In lieu of flowers please send any donations to the Nancy Lewis Cancer Center.
