David A. White

May 18, 1962 ~ February 5, 2021 (age 58) 58 Years Old

David White Obituary

David A. White was born May 18, 1962 in Savannah, Georgia.  After a brief illness, he was called home to meet his heavenly Father on Friday, February 5, 2021 at his home in Bluffton, S. C.  He was the owner and operator of David White Builders since 1990.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Grady L. White, Sr. of Midway, Georgia and Annie M. White of Ellerbe, North Carolina. In addition to his parents, he was preceeded in death by his oldest brother, Ronnie White. 

David was a devoted and loving husband, father, Dida, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to many.  He spent several years coaching Little League football and baseball and was a postive mentor to many students in his community.  David proudly served in the PTO and served as a field trip dad at Thomas Heyward Academy where his grandchildren attended.  He worked tirelessly to help many who were in need.  He was incredibly humble and always thought of others first.  He was a devoted friend and would never hesitate to be there for those he loved. 

David has been a member of Hardeeville Lodge #348 AFM where he twice presided as Worshipful Master since 2004.  He was raised to Master Mason in 2004.  He was also a 17 year member of the Alee Shriners where he was awarded Shriner of the year in 2012. In addition, He was a member of the Alee Shriner Pirates where he presided as President in 2011. He was also a member of the Alee Shriners Roadrunners since 2004. He became a member of The Order of Quetzalcoatl in 2019.   David was a long-time member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Savannah, Georgia.

David enjoyed life to the fullest.  He loved his Georgia BullDAWG football with a passion. He spent many days participating in all capacities with the Masons and Shriners.  He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and going to Bike Week in Myrtle Beach with family and friends.  His greatest love was going to his grandchildren's games whether it was football, baseball, or volleyball.  He was a proud Dida.

David is survived by his children, Jessica Toi Frantz (Billy), David Adam White (Tonya) and his grandchildren, Quillan, Destiny, Caleb, Jacey and Sadie all of Bluffton, S.C. His siblings, Gary White of Marion, S.C., Deborah Frye (Billy) of Ellerbe, NC, Jane Chamberlain (Richard) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Grady L. White, Jr. of Bloomingdale, Georgia, Brenda Cook of Ellerbe, NC and Richard White (Holly) of Richmond Hill, Georgia, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 10, 2021 from 7-8 PM at Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC. It is asked that only 15 people visit in the building at a time. 

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Sauls Funeral Home Pavilion, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton. It would be helpful if all would bring an outdoor chair for your comfort and in order to practice social distancing. Reverend David Hodge will be officiating. Burial will be held at the Old Bluffton Cemetery, Hwy 46, Bluffton, SC. Per CDC guidelines, masks are required at all service events. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
