Debra Abbott Obituary

Debra Lynn Abbott, formally Haws, age 66, of Paris, IL was called home to the Lord on October 19th, 2021 at 5:10 pm with her daughter by her side at MUSC hospital in Charleston, SC. She was born in Paris, IL on May 23rd, 1955 to Virginia and Richard Haws. After studying Interior Design in Chicago, IL Debbie joined the Air Force in 1980 where she spent the next 35 years in the service and retired as a Major. After her retirement she moved to Bluffton, SC to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren. She treasured her grandchildren and embraced every moment with them. Debbie had a strong faith in God even during the challenges she had to endure battling multiple myeloma and hemodialysis. She had a love for the Midwestern farm land, a craving for trying new restaurants, and a passion for a little retail therapy. Debbie is survived by her mother Virginia Collier, daughter Alyssa Pressley and son-in-law Tony Pressley and grandchildren Easton Pressley and Everly Pressley.
