Debra Hayes

Debra Hayes, 62, of Hardeeville, SC, wife of Theodore G. Hayes, passed away January 12, 2023 at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.

Debra was born June 24, 1960 in Jasper, AL to the late Dan Johnson and Juanita Able Johnson. She was the owner and operator of Crazy Joe’s Fireworks and a member of Red Dam Baptist Church. There was nothing she loved more than spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Debra is survived by her sons, Joseph Hayes of Beaufort and Juston Hayes (Jennifer) of Hardeeville; step-daughter, April Allen of Lancaster, SC; brothers, Danny Johnson of Ridgeland, SC and Stephen “Greg” Johnson of AL; and grandchildren, Eva Hayes, Dyllan Beck, Brandon Beck, Lincoln Hayes, Grey Hayes, Harley Allen, and Karlie Allen. She was preceded in death by her sister, Cindy Courtney.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm, Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Red Dam Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 pm until the time of the service at the church.
