Diane S. McNamara, age 83, of Bluffton, SC, passed away at her home surrounded by family on October 25, 2023, after a brief battle with cancer. Diane was born in 1940, Waterbury, CT to Wesley Balch Scott and Lucille Chaffee Scott. She was predeceased by her first husband Gerald D. Frazier, her second husband Frank Ciravolo, and her brother Robert A. Scott Sr.
Diane was a 1962 graduate of Rollins College, Winter Park, FL. She was an administrative assistant for many years in Rochester NY. In 2000, Diane moved to Bluffton SC, where she was a long time member of The Church of the Cross. She enjoyed serving in many ministries at the church and was also a member of the Esther chapter of Daughters of the Holy Cross. As well, she was a charter member of the Daughters of the American Revolution - Emily Geiger Chapter. Diane was a passionate “people” person with a smile and hug for everyone and will be remembered fondly as “Lady Blue”.
Diane is survived by her sons, Todd D. Frazier of Bluffton, Scott M. Frazier and his wife Jennifer; two grandchildren, Andrew Frazier and Allison Mehra (Amit), her step-daughter Mary Monell (Ciravolo), her sister Lynda Doktor (Bill), sister-in-law Kathy Scott, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be cherished and deeply missed by her family & friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at The Church of the Cross, Bluffton (Calhoun St. historic campus) on Monday, November 13 at 2:00 pm. Her cremated remains will be interred at The Church of the Cross Memorial Garden.
