Donald T. Brown, aged 87, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2023. He was a beloved husband, father, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Donald is survived by Brenda (Birnie), his loving wife of 63 years; his sons Bryan of Waco, TX; Ken (Bette) of Fredrick, MD; David (Sue) of Mt. Bethel, PA; grandchildren, Brittnee Evans (Brandon) of Knowlton, NJ; Daniel Brown (Maddie) of North Wales, PA; Nicholas Brown of Wayne, PA; Bennett Brown of Dallas, TX; William Brown of Dallas, TX; Zachary Brown of Georgetown, TX; and Lindsey Brown of Fredrick, MD; great-grandchildren Connor Evans of Knowlton, NJ, and Khloe Rose of Palmer, PA; nephews Frances Brown and Bill Brown, and niece Joan Diobilda.
Donald was born to Samuel T. Brown and Nora (Barrow) in Philadelphia. He served in the United States Army during the Cold War and was stationed in Whittier, Alaska. After graduating from Drexell University with a bachelor's degree in accounting, his career stops included the Ford Motor Company, Pratt & Whitney, and BASF.
Donald and family resided in Dearborn, MI; Parsippany, NJ; and Nazareth, PA. In 2013, after getting tired of shoveling snow for 33 winters, he and his wife relocated to Bluffton, SC.
More than anything, Donald was a devoted father. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, sharing stories, playing games, and watching their favorite TV shows. He was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced.
In his free time, Donald enjoyed constructing miniature houses and furnishings, and was always eager to share his knowledge and enthusiasm with others. In his spare time, he enjoyed reading, making frequent trips to the library.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Sandra Brown, brother Norman Brown, sister-in-law Lorraine Brown, nephew Edward Brown, and daughter-in-law Michele Brown.
A celebration of life is being planned for a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
