Dorothy Downes Obituary
After a life well lived with love, strong convictions and an unwavering Catholic faith, God reached out and brought our Mom home. Dorothy died peacefully at Benton House Bluffton, SC on April 30th.
Dorothy will forever remain in the hearts of her children and their spouses, Jack (Carla), Steve (Lizzy) and Nanette (Paul) Straub; her grandchildren Erin (Pete) Yalch, Mike Downes, Kelly (Karla) Downes, Kimberly (Richard) Boulton, Vincent Straub, Patrick (Autumn) Straub, and Meg (Joe) Frederick. Her great-grandchildren Danny, Emily, Alex and Jack Yalch, Ophelia, Ruby and Oscar Boulton, Elizabeth and Amelia Straub and Penelope Frederick. Also survived by our loving Aunt and Mom's sister Patti White.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 47 years, Adrian, granddaughter Emily, and 11 brothers and sisters.
A memorial service will take place in Bluffton SC, and Fairfield Glade TN at a later date.
