Ellen Nettles Obituary

Ellen C. Nettles, 84, of Hardeeville, SC passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021. Ellen was born May 14, 1936, the daughter of Lemuel and Catherine Carson. She was married to Hallie A. Nettles until his death in 1987. They were married 32 years. She had three sons, Hallie A. Nettles, Jr., who passed in 2016, Marcus W. Nettles (Cindy), and Duncan E. Nettles (Trudy) and four daughters, Cynthia Spiva, Nancy E. Mizell (Robert), Connie Solomon (Ric), and Necold F. Edge (Bo). She was blessed to have 15 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Wendell Carson, and loved by many nieces and nephews.

Ellen was employed by Wal-Mart for nearly 20 years and made many friends along the way, making sure to tell them all about Jesus. She was also a member of Creative Church and she often told Pastor Eric Clark that he was just like one of her children. She was a very special lady, who made a life-long impression on this world that will remain for many years to come.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Creative Church, 1239 Plantation Drive, Hardeeville. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am until the hour of the service at the church. Burial will follow in Williams Cemetery.
