Fernand Raoul LaBranche died on November 14, 2022 at the age of 84. He was born in Biddeford Maine to Raoul and Delcia LaBranche on May 16, 1938. After graduating from St. Louis High, he earned an engineering degree from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. He married his high school sweetheart, Claudette Leclerc and they celebrated 64 years together on June 28th.
Fern worked as a manager at General Electric for 25 years and then as a corporate consultant at Siemens. His career took his wife and family many places, including 8 states. Fern loved football; he officiated high school and college football games and was the founder of the LaBranche Family Football Pool which continues today. Fern was also an avid golfer who mastered the game to a tee.
In addition to his parents, he as predeceased by his son Kevin. Along with his wife, he is survived by two children, Glenn (Deborah) of Chandler, AZ and Karen Constance of Owen Sound, Ontario, his three brothers, Raymond of Pembroke, N.H., Robert (Linda) of Sarasota, FL, and Roger (Sandy) of Port Richey, FL, four grandsons and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Crescent Hospice and Life Care Center of Hilton Head for their incredible love and care they provided to Fern and his family.
Per his wishes, no services are scheduled. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that you spread random acts of kindness in your own private way in Fern’s honor.
