Frances Iezzi, age 80 of Bluffton South Carolina, sadly passed away on April 26th, 2022. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Born on January 2nd, 1942 to Mary and Anthony Ingrassia, Fran grew up in Irvington, New Jersey where she attended Irvington High School. She was the youngest of four children. She is pre-deceased by her brothers, Anthony and Archie and survived by her brother, Eugene. Fran earned her undergraduate degree from Fairleigh Dickenson University and later her Master’s degree in Business Education from Kean College, Summa Cum Laude.
After working as an executive assistant in the private sector, Fran went on to teach thousands of students over her rich 30-year career as a high school educator, working at Linden High School, East Orange High School, Hanover High School and Plainfield High School.
Fran is survived by her husband of 58 years, Raymond Iezzi. She is also survived by her two sons, Raymond and Anthony and her three grandchildren, Lucas, Sophia and Aria.
Prior to starting their family, Fran and Ray lived for two years in Florence, Italy. Fran fondly recalled those years and was very proud of her Italian heritage. She spoke fluent Italian and enjoyed making homemade pizza, caponata and baked biscotti cookies for family gatherings. Fran was an avid reader and enjoyed singing loudly along with the radio. In her later years, Fran would dance to the music with her husband and granddaughter. And this made her very happy.
