Frank W. King, III (PK)

Frank W. King III, faithful husband, father and friend - known and loved universally by all as “Powerking” (PK) went home to be with the Lord on September 14, 2021.

Born on July 16, 1964 in Elkton, Maryland, Frank was raised in the Northeast and moved with his family to Bluffton in 2003. He is known for his unique gift of connecting with people although he claimed he “did not like people.” He was a big strong man inside and out, but had a huge heart filled with humility, compassion and kindness. Frank built his life and business around his desire to help people; whether it was using his exceptional mechanical talents, assisting a stranger in need or encouraging his family and friends with his special brand of PK’s words of wisdom.

Frank’s group of friends is vast and unique, full of interesting characters and he loved it that way. He was a great storyteller and always had an amusing narrative about the people he encountered and the situations he found himself in. Frank was very insightful; he could read people and quickly discern their nature. He was a man of high morals, integrity and great faith in his Lord and Savior; he was looking forward to spending eternity with Him.

The core of Frank’s life was his family. They were his primary focus and his greatest source of pride and joy. He adored his wife Debbie and they spent 25 wonderful years together raising their sweet children. Frank was so proud to be able to work beside his wife and children in their family business. He cherished living with them on the May River where he often captained sunset cruises on his boat. Frank was a true outdoorsman who loved fishing, crabbing, hunting, camping and savored all of God’s wonderful creation.

Frank is survived by his precious wife Debbie, daughter Hailey and son Dalton. He was predeceased by his son, Aaron King. Frank also leaves behind his father and mother, Frank and Sharon King II, his brother, Jonathan King, many family members, several nieces and nephews, and countless close friends.

A visitation of the family will be held on Friday, October 8th, 2021 at from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Sauls Funeral Home 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC 29910 with a service at 6:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, please do as Powerking would do and consider paying it forward in love by an act of service or kindness for another.
