She was a strong advocate for the WHFMS, and dutifully supported and prayed for our missionaries. Tena was also known to many as a floral artist and would harvest flowers from her yard every Saturday evening to create beautiful arrangements that would grace the altar table for Sunday services, even well into her nineties. She also worked diligently to preserve the church’s history, gathering historical documents and photographs to establish a library for generations to enjoy. She was a prayer warrior.
