Glenn (Jr.) Florence

Glenn Florence, Jr., age 81, passed away on May 5, 2021 at home surrounded by family.

Glenn is survived by his wife of 19 years, Judy Ann Florence; his daughters Kelly Renee Shaw (Doug) and Monica Florence (Dawn); step children, Lori Szalay and David Schaffer (Betsy); ten grandchildren, Amelia Shaw, Wesley Shaw, Corey Shaw, Simon Shaw, Michael Vasquez, Alex Vasquez, Nikolas Vasquez, and Ava Florence, Tyler Schaffer and Kyle Schaffer; two sisters, Sue Henderson and Nann Pledger; and many nieces and nephews.

Glenn was one of eight siblings born to the late Glenn Florence, Sr. and Bonnie Maxwell Florence on September 11, 1939 in Douglasville, Georgia. He was predeceased by his son, Glenn Florence, III (Bucky); his parents; brothers, John Allen and Douglas; sisters, June, Ann and Cynthia; and seven step siblings.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 11:00 am at Saint Julian’s Episcopal Church, 5400 Stewart Mill Road, Douglasville, Georgia 30135.
