Holly Jo (Phillips) DeFouw

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Holly Jo Phillips DeFouw, 52, of Bluffton, SC. Born in Somerville, NJ but resided majority of her life in the sunny state of FL. Holly moved to Bluffton, SC in January 2010. Holly was preceded in death by her father Jack Arthur Phillips and is survived by her mother Margaret (Peggy) Capelli of Inverness, FL and step-mother Christine Phillips of Bluffton, SC. Holly leaves behind 4 loving children, Brittany Phillips of Kissimmee, FL, Heather Sempier of Bluffton, SC, Michael Sempier of Orlando, FL and Leah Jo Pancake of Orlando, FL. Holly also leaves behind eight beautiful grandchildren that she adored so much, Alyssia, Thalia, Amayah, Josiah, Zayden, Zoey, Teron and Lilliani. Holly is survived by her 7 siblings, Dawn Fay of NJ, Michael Phillips of FL, Robin Sempier of FL, Debbie Bucci of NJ, Nicole Phillips of SC, Jaclyn Phillips of SC, Toni Lee Phillips of SC and many nieces and nephews.

Holly was the life of the party everywhere she went. Holly loved to dance and sing and we know she is continuing to in Heaven. She had a kind, generous heart that will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

A Memorial Gathering will be held from 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm, Friday, October 13, 2023 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton, SC.
