James Edward Tracey of Bluffton, SC passed away suddenly on Feb. 8, 2021. He was 74 years old.
Born in New Jersey, Jim was the oldest of seven and treasured the bond he had with his brothers and sisters. He relished in memories of summers spent down at the Jersey Shore. Jim graduated from Seton Hall University with both an undergraduate degree and MBA. He also proudly served in the US Marine Corps., repeating stories of his training at Parris Island to anyone who would listen.
Beloved husband to Ronnie, the couple had retired to Bluffton from New York, where Jim enjoyed golf and the warmer weather. He also loved spending time with his much adored pugs. Much admired and cherished father to Kimberly and Megan, Jim loved any excuse to visit them in New Orleans, especially for gumbo and beignets. More recent, Jim travelled to visit Kim in London, where he welcomed his son-in-law, Paul, into the family. Jim was excitedly awaiting the birth of his first grandchild, Oliver, born days after his passing.
A memorial service for Jim will be held in the future. In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome a donation to the American Heart Association in Jim’s honor.
