Jean Tindal Obituary

Jean Daring Tindal, 81, of Ridgeland, SC, wife of Allen Tindal, I, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Ridgeland Nursing Center.

Mrs. Tindal was born on September 9, 1937 in Ridgeland, SC to Clinton Daring and Jennie Woods Daring. She was a childcare specialist, helping raise and develop many children in the Jasper County area. She was a member of Grays Church of God of Prophecy, where she taught Sunday School for 30 years. She loved gardening, crabbing, shrimping, and anything related to the saltwater.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Tindal is survived by her son, Allen Tindal, II (Lil) of Ridgeland, SC; daughter, Cindy Hiers (Ronald White) of Grays, SC; brother, Lester Daring (Jeannie) of Ridgeland; sisters, Ida Mae Smith of Grays, Anne Bearse (Ralph) of Michigan, and Jeanette Twitty of Ridgeland; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Daring and D.C. Daring and sisters, Edith D. Cooler and Thelma D. Langdale.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Church of God of Prophecy, Grays, SC. Bishop Darren Davis presiding.
