Jeffrey Kitter Obituary

Jeffrey Kitter, 67, of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, died peacefully at his home on Thursday, January 2, 2020.

Jeff was born in Manhattan, New York on August 26, 1952, the son of Volda and Elaine Kitter. He lived in Tuckahoe Village New York.  He received a Bachelor's Degree in business administration from Pace University in 1977 and became a successful self-employed financial advisor.  As a child, he spent the majority of his time at various local golf courses and bowling alleys and quickly became highly skilled in the latter. By his early teens, Jeffrey was supporting his mother and brother by gambling on himself in an underground bowling movement called "action bowling". Jeff parlayed his early bowling success into  becoming one of the best action bowlers to ever have done it.

He married Michelle Giragosian on June 2, 1985 in Lynbrook, New York then moved to Hastings on the Hudson. They also lived in Stony Point, New York where they had their only child Christopher.  Five years later, they moved to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina where Jeff found most of his success as financial advisor.  Jeff loved taking long bicycle rides and enjoyed the scenic views of the lowcountry. He lived life to the fullest and loved spending time with family, extended family, and friends.

Jeff is survived by his loving wife Michelle, his son Christopher, sister-in-law Roxanne Campbell, brother-in-law Michael Campbell, nephew Ian Campbell, brother-in-law Richard Giragosian, sister-in-law Luanne Giragosian, nieces Brittney and Kristy Giragosian, sister-in-law Rita Palaszczuk, brother-in-law John Palaszczuk, nephew William Palaszczuk, niece/goddaughter Frances Palaszczuk, and niece Valaria Kitter.

Those who wish to celebrate Jeff's life are welcome to attend a memorial service to be held at Dolphin Head Pavilion, Hilton Head Plantation on Saturday, January 18, 2020 from 1pm to 4pm.

In lieu of flowers, any donations made can be made to his family, Humane Society, and Hospice Care of the Lowcountry in memory of Jeff.
