It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Jennifer Lynn Gadson, 49, of Bluffton, SC. Jennifer passed away with her family by her side on November 3, 2023 after a short illness.
Jennifer was born on November 20, 1973, in Steuben County, NY, the daughter of Charles Donald Stout & Gayle Jeanne Stout. She grew up in Dansville, NY in a small town where there were more cows than people, and enjoyed dancing on stage, playing softball, her piccolo and getting into mischief. After graduating Springfield College in 1997, Jennifer moved to Hilton Head Island to further her family connections. She worked at Shoney’s Restaurant, where she met her husband, Robert Lee Gadson, Jr, while he was there to eat and eat good! At that moment, Robert knew he had just met his wife. They were married in 2001. Jenn then took a job with the Beaufort County Public School District where she continued to touch the many souls of this community.
She was kind to so many and never met a stranger she didn’t want to help. She loved her family and especially her 3 children, who fueled the ferocity she was so loved for. Her children meant the world to her and she would defend them to a fault. Her loving nature was felt by all who were blessed to come in contact with her. Jennifer was a free spirit whom always was available to help, comfort, forgive, and teach a LOVE of others. And at the same time, she was the most stubborn headed individual and stuck in her ways. Don’t offer her something new to eat because it will go to waste. Even during her last days, her forgiveness led her to hold no grudges.
Along with her grandparents, Jennifer was predeceased by her father and father-in-law Robert Lee Gadson, Sr. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, Robert Lee Gadson, Jr., a daughter, Kativa Cheree-Gayle Stout, two sons, Jae Raquel Gadson and Tae’von Michael Gadson all of Bluffton, SC, her mother, Gayle Jeanne Stout, of NY and mother-in-law, Jannie Bryan-Gadson, of SC, her sister, Rebecca Dawn Stout, of CT, her brother and sister-in-law, Derek Jason Stout and Christina Elizabeth Stout, of MA, her brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws Kevin and Kathy Gadson, of SC, Darrell and Stephanie Gadson, of SC, Kennard and Kindra Gadson, of SC, and Jamie Gadson, of SC, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
The family would like to give a special thanks to H.E. McCracken Middle School and Red Cedar Elementary School. And to those who have prayed, kept her family in thoughts and prayers, along with the unwavering support.
The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 pm until the 3:00 pm Memorial Service on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd, SC 29910. There will be a celebration of life following from 5pm-7pm at Skull Creek Dockside, 2 Hudson Road, Hilton Head, SC 29926, for all who want to come and share in their love of Jennifer.
