Joseph N. Bailey, 58, and his wife, Nancy Hartzell Bailey, 51 died June 8, 2014 and June 10, 2014 respectively at Hospice of Piedmont. Joseph Norwood Bailey, 58, husband of Nancy Hartzell Bailey, son of G. Norwood Bailey of Cherryville, NC formerly of Rome, GA and Mary Hiott Bailey of Bluffton, SC passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at his home. He was born in Savannah, GA on June 11, 1955. He was a graduate of Coosa High School in Rome, GA. He attended Berry College. He was a devoted husband, valued his friends, and was faithful to his church where he sang to the glory of God. He was an avid fisherman and golfer. He worked in sales and management and owned his own business (name of business). In addition to his father and mother he is survived by his children: Anna B. Page (Jack) of Cherry Point, NC, Rachel B. Leviten (Joel) of Lakeland, FL, and Cherish B. Neff (Kristopher) of Lakeland, FL; his grandchildren, Isabella Page, Victoria Page and Isaac Leviten; his nephews, Jeff, Kemp and Skip Toomer; and his three stepsisters, Marilyn B. Key, Donna B. Crotts and Cindy B. Smith. He was preceded in death by his brother, G. "Frankie" Toomer of Bluffton, SC and stepmother, Frances M. Bailey of Rome, GA. Nancy Hartzell Bailey, 51, widow of Joseph N. Bailey, daughter of Dale and Nina Hartzell of Albany, GA passed away on Wednesday June 10, 2014 at Hospice of Piedmont. She was a devoted wife, loved Jesus Christ, her family and friends. She was a talented artist shown through her eye of beautiful décor and design. All of us who met Nancy loved her instantly and knew we had been touched by a woman of grace. The Hartzell family worked together and played together at the beach. That family bond has continued to this day and Nancy will be missed. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Hartzell Bailey, on June 8, 2014. In addition to her father and mother she is survived by her sisters, Sharon Goins and Tina James, brother David, her Uncle Robert Taylor and her cousin Becky Harrison.
