Judith Marshall Obituary

Judith Mastropole Marshall “Mama Judy” of Bluffton, South Carolina passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 21, 2021.

Judy was a born to Virginia and Anthony Mastropole in Passaic New Jersey, on June 12, 1967. She was a warm, fun-loving, light-hearted woman who was always quick with a joke and ready to help anyone with anything. She enjoyed cooking and baking Christmas cookies at this time of year with her many close friends. She never missed an episode of The Young and the Restless and could frequently be found shopping at the outlets or out to dinner with family. She spent several years in upstate New York, where she welcomed her daughter Ashley Marshall on October 9, 1993. Ashley instantly became the single most important part of Judy’s life, and their relationship developed into a deep bond that was like no other, one that lasted a lifetime. Judy was extremely proud of all of Ashley’s accomplishments. As time went on, Judy became a second mother to many of Ashley’s close friends, always having them over for dinner, games, and lots of laughs. This earned her the lifelong nickname “Mama Judy,” and she welcomed the role with open arms.

She was always available for a phone call; if you needed help, she never asked any questions or had any reservations - she was just there. Judy was a pillar in our family, and life without her will be a huge adjustment. We will never be the same without her, but her lasting impressions will be with us all for ever.

She is survived by her father Anthony, brother Anthony (Bryan), sister Rebecca, sister Heather (John) and daughter Ashley, along with too many close friends to mention.  She was predeceased by her Mother Virginia, Grand mother Lillian Renna, Grand mother Sadie Mastropole, Grandfather Sam Mastropole, and Brother In Law William Finch.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, January 15th at Lincoln & South Brewing Company on Hilton Head Island from 5pm-9pm.

In lieu of flowers please send donations in her memory to MUSC Medical Intensive Care Unit.

A celebration of life in Oneonta will be at a later date!
