Kimberly Dawn (Milliken) Richardson

Kimberly Richardson was born is the small town of Georgetown, SC to Debra Day and Ray Milliken. After graduating high school in Aiken, SC, Kimberly left home and pursued a career as a Paralegal. She was most proud of her two children, Johnny Mathis (Ragan, Layla, Amelia) and Alexis Parks (Matt).

Kimberly loved life, with all it’s ups and downs. Kimberly was the life of the party, not just because she was the loudest (and funniest) in the room, but because she had the biggest heart. She loved fiercely and without expectation. She loved crafting and was an avid gardener; she was so proud of every single tomato and zucchini, no matter how big or small. She loved her work with the Magic Yarn Project, a non-profit that provides Disney inspired yarn wigs to children undergoing chemotherapy. She was an active member of the Colleton County Fire-Rescue’s Community Emergency Response Team and assisted with various Emergency Management Division activities. She was most proud of her sobriety, having just recently celebrated her 5 year anniversary of being sober. Most weekends were spent “chilling” with Alex, her partner, riding on the back of the bike, listening to their favorite band and hanging out with her family. Her high strung, vivacious spirit will be missed in this life.
