Kirk Alan Rafetto

Kirk Alan Rafetto, 65, of Bluffton, SC passed away peacefully on March 4th under the comfort care of Friends of Caroline Hospice. His loving wife of 15 years, Pamela Rafetto, his daughters, and all of his siblings, spent those last few days by his side.

Kirk was a loving husband to Pam, and a devoted father to his two daughters, Danielle Rafetto and Dominque Wareham. He was a Father-in-law to Kyle Wareham, starry-eyed Grandpop to River and Kenna Wareham, and Doggy Daddy to Harley and Mia.

Kirk was born in Harrison County, WV, to parents Rodney and Elizabeth Rafetto. He was the youngest son and leaves behind his sister Gail Boettcher and her husband Mike, his sister Debi Mooney and her husband Dan. He also leaves his brother Rodney Rafetto and his wife Anita, and brother Michael Rafetto and his Wife Jennette, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

Kirk and Pam married in 2008 at their home in Pittsboro, NC. They then moved to New Hill, NC, before retiring to their home in Bluffton, SC. Their remarkable love for each other was radiant and visible to all! Soulmates feels like an understatement. They were so deeply in love. 

Kirk was a quick-witted, fun-loving, truly hilarious guy! He always enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was so adored by everyone who knew him. He loved all of his dogs, some of his cats, and life in general.

Kirk worked for many years in construction and took great pride in the various impressive projects he contributed to. Although he was proud of his work, he would tell you his greatest accomplishments were his two daughters, whom he loved with all of his heart. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, spending time in his swimming pool, watching golf, dancing, and being the life of the party. 

A celebration of his life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hilton Head Humane Association or Friends of Caroline Hospice.
