Larry A. Kittner, 81, of Bluffton died peacefully with his family by his side at MUSC on February 26, 2020.
Larry was born to Virgil and Margaret Kittner on September 4, 1938 in Warren, PA. He was a graduate of Warren High School and Grove City College, where he met his wife-to-be, Judy Kish. They were married on May 5, 1962. Larry and Judy retired to Sun City Hilton Head in November 2003 and enjoyed an active lifestyle with new friends. Before retirement, Larry was an accomplished industrial sales professional and served his country in the Coast Guard Reserves for 22 years, achieving the rank of Commander. He also enjoyed a lifetime of hiking and traveling.
Larry is survived by Judy, his beloved wife of 58 years; daughter Lori Thomas; son Craig Kittner (Denise Gordon); granddaughters Mara and Jenna Thomas; and sister, Jackie Rudolph. He was predeceased by brothers Martin and Virgil Kittner.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 20 at 11:30 am at Church of the Palms. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Church of the Palms or Hospice of the Low Country.
