Madeline Rose Bisignani Amadeo passed away peacefully on April 28 at Friends of Caroline in Ridgeland, South Carolina. She was 80.
She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was always there when her family needed her. She dedicated her life to caring for her family. Over the years, she enjoyed many hobbies including cake decorating, crafts, crocheting, reading, playing cards (especially with her grandkids), mahjong, and word puzzles. She loved to travel. Some of her favorite trips were with family and friends to Hawaii, Palm Springs, the Caribbean, Italy, Australia, and New Zealand.
She also had many friends and was a well-loved member of the Sun City community. She enjoyed going to lunch with her Sun City friends and was a member of Red Hats for many years.
Born on Jan. 24, 1943 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Leonard Bisignani and Violet Bisignani. She graduated from South Scranton Catholic High School in 1960.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years Tony Amadeo, her sister Theresa Carlin and husband Andrew Carlin of Morrisville, Pennsylvania, two daughters Theresa Ball and husband Bill Ball of Bluffton, and Natalie Cosner and husband Luther Cosner of Laurel, Maryland. She is also survived by five grandchildren Cassandra Clive and husband Sterling Clive, Billy Ball, Matthew Ball, Blake Cosner and Alex Cosner, and great-grandchildren Russell Clive, Callie Clive, and Phillip Clive.
A Mass will be celebrated for Mrs. Amadeo on Saturday, July 8, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Port Wentworth, Georgia. This will be followed by a celebration of life service and visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. at Sauls Funeral Home in Bluffton.
