Marianne Elizabeth (Schick) Kling, 77, of Sun City in Bluffton, SC, went home to be with the Lord on the morning of June 23, surrounded by her loved ones.
Born in Philadelphia, Pa., Marianne later lived in New Jersey before retiring to South Carolina. Marianne was a vibrant and multi-talented woman who always had a story at the ready. Throughout her life, she held several business positions, started various entrepreneurial ventures, and tried her hand at many pursuits. She was well-known for her cooking, baking, and needlework. She & her husband enjoyed their time in Sun City, Hilton Head, and served as ambassadors for three years.
This past year, her spirits were frequently brightened by visits from neighbors, traveling companions, friends in the community, and her Church of the Cross community. The family extends heartfelt thanks to her dear friend Maryann Dimberio who was at Marianne's side throughout her battle to recover from a stroke last summer, as well as, the many supportive caregivers at Senior Helpers and the wonderful team at Crescent Hospice.
She is survived by her husband Herbert Kling, daughter Shelley Narducci, her husband Michael; son Shawn Leh, his wife Jeannie; daughter Amy CharlesChiu, her husband Eric; son Scott Leh; 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her late husband Daniel Leh; son John Fritz; son Craig Leh and his wife Wendy Pandy-Leh; and daughter-in-law Marlene Leh.
There will be a Celebration of Life at The Church of the Cross, 110 Calhoun St., Bluffton, S.C. on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at 11:00 AM and a memorial in New Jersey at a date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations to The Church of the Cross, or to a Charity of your choice.
