Marilyn Delaney Fullmer, 87, of Bluffton, SC, widow of Charles “Chuck” Fullmer, passed away Monday, April 12, 2021 at NHC of Bluffton.
Marilyn was born October 29, 1933 in Paterson, NJ to the late John J. Delaney and Marie A. O’Neill Delaney. Marilyn and Chuck moved to Bluffton in 2002. She was a parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, a member of the Ladies’ Ancient Order of the Hibernians, a member of the Irish Heritage Society, the Christ Child Society of Cape May County, NJ, and the Sun City Avant Gardeners. The Fullmer family enjoyed 19 years of sailing Sandpiper on Lake Erie out of Fairport Harbor Yacht Club, Grand River, OH. Chuck and Marilyn were also members of the Avalon NJ Yacht Club.
Marilyn is survived by her three sons, Paul Thomas Fullmer (Norma Jean) of Pahrump, NV, John Francis Fullmer (Kimberly) of Simpsonville, SC, and James Patrick Fullmer of Bluffton, SC; four grandchildren, Daina Fullmer (Frank Anguilo) of Brick, NJ, Anna Lefkowitz (Joel), Jacklyn Kulis (Lou), and John Charles, all of Cleveland, OH; and one brother, John “Jack” P. Delaney.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 3:30 pm on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at the Sauls Funeral Home Pavilion, 90 Simmonsville Rd, Bluffton with a prayer service at 3:30 pm. Some seating is available, but it is recommended to bring a lawn chair for your comfort. The funeral mass will be held at 10:30 am, Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 31 St. Gregory Drive, Bluffton.
