Mark Sidney Horton

Mark Sidney Horton, 57, of Hardeeville, SC passed away Monday, April 27, 2020 in Bluffton, SC.

Mark was born February 5, 1963 in Savannah, GA to the late P. Reece Horton and Janice Razook Horton.

Mark was a kind-hearted, grateful man. He was known for the hat upon his head, the tenacity of his will, and the skillfulness of his hands. The early rebellious spirit of his youth was also what kept him grounded to his family as an adult. He took pride in his ability to fix most things or at least "give it a go" before calling one of his brothers for help. He enjoyed community and the one he shared with his fellow Marine Rescue Squad. Mark was his own man; truly an entrepreneur—always thinking of ways to provide for his family. There is no doubt that with all he experienced and achieved in his life, he was the proudest of being a father.

Mark is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Glisson Horton of Hardeeville; daughter, Sydney Racheal Horton of Hardeeville; brothers, Phillip G. Horton (Elaine) of Charlotte, NC and Joel F. Horton (Penny) of Bloomingdale, GA; and sister, Camille H. Fester of Hardeeville. He was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Horton.
