Nancy S. Hank, 94, of South Carolina, formerly of Ohio, died August 4, 2022, with her niece Sharon at her bedside.
She was born on May 5, 1928 in Youngston, Ohio to the late Park and Carrie (Armstrong) Sampson.
She graduated from Goshen High School (1946) and Mt. Union College with a B.S. in Elementary Education. There she was active in the Alpha X Delta Sorority.
Nancy was married to Simion T. Hank in 1979. He passed away on June 14, 1996.
She taught elementary grades in Canton, Columbus, Boardman and West Branch (Ohio) schools retiring in 1987, after teaching for 33 years. After retirement, she volunteered at West Branch in the first grade for 15 years and for Meals on Wheels (Alliance, Ohio).
Nancy was a member of the Union Avenue United Methodist Church (Alliance, Ohio). She was active in the Questers Antique Group and Great Trail Model A Club. She was an avid reader and enjoyed needlepoint.
In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by sister and brother-in-law Jane Tillman (Robert); and brother Todd Sampson (age 3).
Survivors include: niece, Sharon B. Conrad (SC); cousin, Janice Allen (Las Vegas).
