Pamela Kinsella Obituary

Pamela Marie was the first of three children born to Herbert and Marjorie Parker in Dickinson, North Dakota, on January 21, 1945.  Shortly after her birth, the family moved to Minot, ND, where siblings Herb Jr. and Zoe Ann were born.  Both parents worked in education at the college and high school level.

Pam began her schooling at Minot Model Elementary School (grades1-8)  Pam transferred to Minot public schools and graduated with the Minot High School class of 1963.  She attended Minot State University, finishing with an Associate Degree in business.  She was employed by American State Bank as an Executive Secretary for three years.

Pam was married to Leo Kinsella on September 3, 1966, at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Minot, ND.  Their daughter Andrea Marie was born on April 11, 1968.  The family moved to Plymouth, Michigan in August of 1968 to continue their careers in education.  Their second daughter, Kimberly Dianne was born on August 13, 1969 in Ann Arbor.

When her daughters began elementary school, Pam returned to work in the Northville Public Schools.  During her 25 year employment there, she held several positions in the Board of Education office and as Secretary to the Principal at the elementary and middle school levels.  Pam was loved and respected by all throughout her career.  She retired in January 2000.

With both daughters married and into their respective careers, Pam and Leo moved to the Eagle’s Point community in Bluffton, South Carolina to begin their retirement years.  Soon they were blessed with the arrival of four wonderful grandchildren.  Pam thoroughly enjoyed being involved in the community, making great friends, playing golf, and embracing the lifestyle.  She was an active Grandmother, and could frequently be found baking, golfing, swimming, and sharing music with her grandkids.  She approached every day with enthusiasm and positivity and was always the brightest smile in the room.  Pam was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church.  Above all, Pam loved spending time with friends and family and made every life she touched better.

Pam was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.  She is survived by her husband Leo, daughters Andrea Marie Buckless (Bruce) of Anderson, SC, Kimberly Dianne Pagel (Chris) of Commerce Twp, Michigan; grandsons Luke Pagel, Vaughn Pagel, and Connor Buckless, granddaughter Kennedy Pagel; sister Zoe Ann Healy and brother Herb ParkerJr. (Vangie) of Fargo, ND.
