Patricia Murnane Obituary

Patricia Catherine Murnane of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2022. She is survived by her husband, James, sister Rosemary Burns, sister in law Agnes Murnane, children Timothy, James, Eileen Murnane, Paula (Buddy) Dukes as well as her grandchildren, Megan (Michael) Codini, Daniel and Kari Murnane, Ben and Patrick Dukes.

She was born and raised on a farm near Cape Vincent, NY. She graduated from Canton College NY, married and raised four children while living in Syracuse, NY and Dover, NJ. She worked for Travelers Insurance before retiring to South Carolina where she volunteered at local hospitals, medical centers and her parish. During her free time she especially enjoyed exploring the South Carolina Low Country beaches searching for shells.

Always a great believer in the power of prayer and chocolate, a kind word and a beautifully hand written note, she touched the hearts of many.

Donations can be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Funeral Services will be held at St. Francis by the Sea Catholic Church,, Hilton Head on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at 10:00am.
