Robert David Hodges

Robert David Hodges, 75, of Hardeeville, SC passed away November 30, 2022 at his home.

Robert was born in Ridgeland, SC on September 2, 1947 to the late Grady P. and Mattie (Floyd) Hodges.

He proudly served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Army Commendation Medal, Combat Infantryman badge and the air medal.  He spent his career serving the public in law enforcement.  He was a former Hardeeville Chief of Police, South Carolina State Trooper and Department of Natural Resources Officer Agent.

Survivors: wife of 7 years, Margaret (Anderson) Hodges; daughter, Jennifer Yates (Tyler), brothers, Mike and James Hodges; sisters, Rose Daring, Ann Woods and Betty Miles.  He was predeceased by his brothers Emmett, Roy and Tommy Hodges.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday; December 3, 2022 at Old Sardis Cemetery, Ridgeland, SC.
