Robert Lawrence “Bob” Lacey, age 63, of Okatie, SC and formerly of Phoenix, MD died Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at his home in Oldfield.
Bob was born on July 28, 1954 in Baltimore, MD, the son of the late Lawrence and Mary Angela Doyle Lacey. He was a graduate of Towson University and continued his formal education at Loyola University where he earned his MBA. He began his career practicing as a CPA with Wooden & Benson and later worked as CFO / President with Masonry Homes. After retirement, he continued sharing his expertise as a financial consultant. He was an active leader with the Homebuilders’ Association of Maryland and was on the Board of Trustees of Notre Dame Preparatory School in Towson. He also served as an officer on the Carroll County Board. Outside of work and civic involvement, he enjoyed biking, golf, and Baltimore Ravens games, but most of all he enjoyed being with his family.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Dawn Lacey; son, Christopher Lacey (Ming); daughters, Jennifer Phelan (Michael) and Kathryn Lacey; sisters, Patricia Mikus (Paul), Anne Stringer, and Margaret Bradley; and grandchildren, Celeste, Bruno, and Kathryn Grace.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 26, 2018 at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 31 St. Gregory Drive, Bluffton, SC 29909.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Lacey Family Scholarship Fund at Notre Dame Preparatory School (815 Hampton Lane, Towson, MD 21286).
