Robert Calvin Lacy

On Wednesday, May 26, 2021, Robert Calvin Lacy, affectionately referred to by his family and friends as Bob or Bubba, loving father of four children, passed away at age 86.

Bob was born on December 20, 1934 in Richmond, VA to David and Blanche Lacy. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the University of Richmond and was both a sales professional and owner of multiple businesses. On August 23, 1956, he married Patricia Gay Manual. They raised two daughters, Kimberly and Paige, and two sons, Jay and Todd. At university Bob was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He was a writer for the University newspaper “the Collegian”, earning a “Leadership Key” award for leading the committee for the Leadership Conference on April 24, 1959. Bob was a proud military veteran, serving his country in the U.S. Navy. Bob enjoyed reading, art, drawing, being a restaurant connoisseur, relaxing with a cigar and a favorite drink, spending time with his friends in “The Crescent”, and most of all, loving and spending time with his family.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, David and Blanche, and wife, Patricia Lacy. He is survived by his life partner, Patricia Mazzatta, his four children, Kimberly, Jay, Paige, and Todd, 18 grandchildren and one great grandson. Memorial and funeral services will be announced later. The family would like to express our thanks for the care and quick response to the Bluffton Police, Fire, and EMS Departments. In lieu of flowers and if desired, friends may make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
