On May 29, 2021, Rose Garson Carlin, aged 64, of Bluffton, SC formerly of Las Vegas, NV and Pittsburgh, PA went to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Robert Carlin, daughter, Annie Carlin (Matt) Emison, grandchildren Nathan and Carly Joy Emison, and sister Victoria (Robert) Rackley.
Rose was a gifted woman as evidenced by her many accomplishments. Graduating with a degree in music from Grove City College, Grove City, PA and a master’s degree from Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, PA she put her talents to use as a music teacher in North Allegheny School District, Pittsburgh, PA. Her extraordinary teaching abilities earned her “Teacher of the Year” twice.
Rose’s love for the Lord led her to a lifetime of studying Scripture. The more she learned, the more she taught. Her desire was that all should know the rich depths of Scripture and God’s unconditional love for each of us.
Rose co-authored the book, “The ART of Forgiveness and Repentance” in which she teaches others how to be set free from bitterness caused by unforgiveness. Her passion for one-on-one prayer counseling is where she saw lives changed as these principles were taught and God’s truth was revealed.
